Default Thanks guys, and hey gnardo....

I looked at the Sportrack, since you mentioned it. Not a bad looking rig.... but the bed is too short for my poles, and the back seat would never, ever be used for anything.... Which is why I'm going with a reg, cab, standard bed F150. With a fiberglass bedcover, I'll have more than enough storage space.

I had a Sport Trac prior to owning my F150 and I really liked that little truck. Only reason I traded it in was I needed something wiht a larger bed then what the Sport Tracs had.

My F150, when stock, got over 21 highway mph's if I kept the RPM's around 2k. That was on the longest trips where it was absolutely 100% highway mileage. Mine is the 5.4L V8 so I'd assume a 4.6L could get you even better than that.
