I had several friends that lived in Old Sugar Land, as we called it, growing up. The homes were always well maintained and cared for in that area. With it being such a geographically desirable location....I imagine it will stay that way.

Have you been there long enough to know what the Palm was...without Googling it? If so, are you old enough that you ever went there?

Now your thinking you should have got the plow prep package. Never know how much snow you will get in Texas.

Dang, y'all use manual tools up there in the great white north? There must be a power tool to take care of that.

Yeah, we live in an older neighborhood in "old" Sugar Land. Not quite original, but building in our neighborhood here started in the late 60's. Yes, compared with other older areas, Sugar Land is well-maintained. The "old old" Sugar Land, like the company neighborhood where the mill workers originally lived, are so pricey that in some cases they're doing tear-downs and building bigger houses. The good news is, they're sticking with the old-style architecture. That may be a city requirement, not sure. The Imperial subdivision is where the plantation used to be, and new homes are going up with a minimum price in the 700's up to a million plus. Our old 1972 house has probably gone up 70% over the past 9 years since we moved into it.

Nope, no idea what it is/was! I moved here 9 years ago from another Houston suburb (Spring), because my wife's family lives in Alief and we wanted to be near them.

Excellent! Enjoy it, you chose a great location. My parents have moved all over Sugar Land. My favorite home they had was in Venetian Estates, on the water. I love that whole neighborhood.

The Palm was a theater on Hwy 90, just west of Brooks Street. It got old, so people stopped going. Then, when they planned to demolish it, everyone was up in arms! LOL. Well, now I'm starting to show some age...so I'll move on to another thread.

It was 85 degrees here when I went to get lunch. Almost too warm to drive with the windows open and no a/c

Holy Crap Joe...how much snow you got there ??? And that Michigan ?? Were getting our first snow here tonight. 6" is forcast. Then Tuesday forecast is for 12"...
I bought some new 'wings' for my plow this year. I installed them a month or so ago when our power was out for a week. Not being able to work. I worked on other stuff. Here's what the look like. It widens the plow 10" or so each side.
