If the Imperial Sugar Plant was still there....I'd guess an explosion at the plant and assume you lived near old downtown. Since they shut down many years ago, I can only imagine someone with very close ties to Santa put in a special request that was granted.

I live within spitting distance of the old Imperial sugar mill, on the "old" side of town (the buildings are historic and preserved), but yeah, there's no sugar there anymore. They're building million dollar houses on the old sugar plantation as well.

As far as I know, Sugar Land is still the corporate/business headquarters of Imperial Sugar, though.

Corpus got hit pretty good too. I took these at 6:15, and in 30 minutes when I left there was more. Had to scoop snow off of the windows and hood of the work truck before I took off. Lol

I was telling people all day yesterday that it wasn't going to stick, I would've put money on it. So glad I didn't. Lol. It knocked out my power around 3:30 last night, and is still out. It's COLD in that house. Lol
