We need more Shell stations locally. Closest is 30 miles east. They have the best gas, IMO.

Learned octane ratio, it's what the ecu asses the fuel quality as and adds or remove some timing to compensate.

So,what do you fill your truck up with.?
87 octane (E10) most of the time, unless towing then an on-the-fly blend of 91/93 octane in a near-empty tank.

I've only run 89 in my F150.

I had/wife has a 2014 Explorer Sport with the 3.5 Eco and I feel like I could tell a significant difference between 89 and 87, but little if any difference between 89 and 91/93.

Meijer regular that I think is 89. I use it because I get 10 cents off per gallon with my card. Since we are being screwed most of the time on gas cost, every penny counts. You have to be in Michigan to know about them. I don't know if they are out of the State.

At least your not on the east side of the state with the "canada tax" adding another 10-20 cents.

Meijer has been in other states for quite awhile. I don't know if they are outside of the great lakes region though

Well I got surprised with: Founded in 1934 as a supermarket chain, Meijer is credited with pioneering the modern supercenter concept in 1962. About half of the company’s 200 stores are located inMichigan (Lower Peninsula only), with additional locations in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Because I was in Indiana and Kentucky in early April and did not see any.
