What Fords Have You Owned

Started with a 1996 Ford Taurus SE with the 3-liter V6 Vulcan back in 2005, called it "the Banshee" because it had 400k+ miles on it, screamed like a banshee and did well for nearly two years. When it died and my little Tacoma got rear-ended, I got a 2008 Focus S, which I promptly traded for a 2008 F150 STX, which I kept until 2017, when I sold it to pay for stuff.
In between, I picked up, played with, repaired, added A/C to, modified and gifted off a 1991 F150 XL. He sold it for more than I thought he'd ever get out of it to a guy looking for a work truck when gas got too expensive for a college student and got himself a Mustang somehow.
I'm currently driving a 2015 Focus SE hatchback, which is meh. I miss the bigger Fords, but I love the mileage of a small car and my work truck (ambulance) is a 2017 F450 that has left a sour taste in my mouth WRT Ford's quality.

I usually buy imports I bought a 2008 Mazda Tribute (Ford escape) and it was a total price of **** and traded in the day the warranty was up on it. My 2018 XLT is technically my first Ford hopefully it will hold up better than my Ford/Mazda Tribute.

1978 Thunderbird 5.0 12 mpg hwy and city
1985 F150 5.0 with a new overdrive transmission...sucked right off the lot
1989 Bronco II This was my test truck for all of my stereo installs. Loved this vehicle as much as any vehicle I've owned
1994 Mercury Sable 3.0 v6 this was the quickest vehicle I have ever owned
2002 Mercury Sable I hated this car probably because my wife at the time talked me into trading I loved the 1994 too much I guess
1999 F150 5.4 Triton.. Still runs today
2008 Expedition another 5.4 The whole fam damily could ride in this thing! Traded it for a GMC... what the hell was I thinking?!
2017 F150 5.0 Really like this truck. It's comfortable and so far has done everything I have asked it to do.

This is my first ford. Family history has not been great with them.
Our last Ford, a 91 thunderbird, (back in the early 90s of course), was a sleek, quick car. And it was kind enough to let the a/c die in the middle of Florida summer the day after we had tint applied to the windows. And it was absolutely terrible in snow as we found out in Syracuse one winter visiting family. I'd swear Bruce Springsteen helped us push the car up a hill that trip (though my parent swear not even remembering a guy walking down the street coming to help)…...he was The Boss and I'll take that to my grave.
Before that a late 80s ranger, a/c also died on us. That was the Ford thing back then. A/c died in all of 'em.
Anywho, ended up with my F150 because it was the most capable available at the time and Ford was running the best deals, and the STX package had no comparison in the half-ton market. I was able to get the most capable motor/trans and 4x4 with some good interior features for less than pretty much any competitor...and it doesn't look like a base model truck!
