I loved my 04 4.6 and love my new to me 5.4. No real problems so far and I hope it stays that way but, nothing bad to say about the truck.

I love the power of the ecoboost and the ability to tow over 11,000 that the max tow package gives me. I tow almost every day at work and tow fairly heavy on a regular basis. This truck has so much power that it is a rare occasion when I'm pulling something behind me and the load on the truck is noticeable. The size of the interior of the crew cab is awesome , every time someone gets in the back seat without fail they always say something about how much leg room they have. I love the flat floor in the back seat and how the seat bottoms food up out of the way. Giving me tons of room to put stuff back there. The cab is super quiet and I never notice road noise or wind noise even doing 80+ on the free way. I will say the stock pirellis aren't very good tires but that describes most stock tires

First time Ford owner.......I'm 40 years old too.
So I can honestly say I love my Ecoboost MPG's (Avatar is my truck)

This is 100% Chicago suburbs driving, Zero highway.....
Keeping the truck out of boost is tricky but I had 19.0 mpg until today when I romped on it a few times.
I never expected a truck to get such great MPG's. However, when winter comes, it takes a serious nose dive.

Gas mileage (highway), Exterior looks, interior space and comfort. Love cruising on the highway and fiddling with the Nav options. Getting around 600 miles per tank on highways is awesome; (500+ per tank 50% city/50% highway). I've said this in some other posts, but I'm coming from a 2005' 5.6L Nissan Titan. My 2014' FX4 5.0 seems so modern to me. haha

Comfort in the F150 is great, I tow with mine so a jeep is not an option. Reasonable mileage sometimes but I find my foot really weighs a lot! Love to see the boost gauge jump! I can haul stuff with the truck including the whole family easily and in comfort.

I too am a motorcycle and sports car guy however the F150 has it's place in my driveway and there is no vehicle out there that makes me want to replace it!

The Jeeps attract me but after riding in a friends a few times, I'll stick to the F150.

I love everything about it except the sync lady.... 'Ding' Phone! Call John Williamson on cell! 'Ding' "Calling Elizabeth Zockelstckzy on mobile"

I'm just a bit uneasy with the notion of operating on the basis that it will never, ever break. And if/when it does, just plan on getting a different one, because the dealers don't have a clue how any of it works or what to do if it doesn't and couldn't possibly care less.

Ford is no worse than any of the other manufacturers, but their focus is to sell more new vehicles. If one breaks and you are forced to get a different vehicle, that is aligned with their goals. As long as all the manufacturers operate that way it apparently works.

A truck is more versatile than a Jeep is. Unless you off road a lot, I would go with a truck. I almost went with a Jeep, but I'm glad I didn't now. There have been a lot of times where I have needed to tow or carry something that wouldn't fit in a Jeep.

My XLT 4x4 rides like a luxury car. My wife has a Lincoln Town Car and our truck rides better then the car. A buddy of mine just bought a Jeep a few months ago. I rode to a neighboring town with him about 40 miles away...it was a beating by the time we got home.

He loves it...but I wouldn't have the thing myself. I'll take my truck any day .
