I spent the last 2 days detailing, polishing the King Ranch truck.

I also, used some new leather conditioner on the leather seats.

I visited her at the repair shop parking lot, where she got towed to. Just bought on 3-1. Got to drive her 2 hrs before she overheated and died by the side of the road. On my visit today, I brought a new radiator cap and water, hoping for a full recovery. Not. Water poured out the bottom of the engine. Probably a cracked block. And I suspect in hindsight the seller knew.

Default Just bought my first Ford (READ POST!)

Just bought a 1988 F 150 XL 4WD extended cab 4.9 inline 6 manual tranny 170 K miles, with ladder rack new starter/battery/tires/tuneup/front end, at $1,600.

After doing lots of reading was looking for a long while for exactly that combo, hope I was starting off right, and hope I got a good price?

Cleaned her out today, vacuumed, ordered a broken Ford F-150 emblem, removed old KC floodlights from brush bumper and posted them for sale on EBay, looked at some fuel tank/tailgate work, too.

Might post pics if anyone replies.

I live and teach in Boise, Idaho.

This forum is great, thanks!
