Found out the hard way that my headlights apparently had some sort of clear film on them to make the plastic look good or something, and that a pressure washer is a bad idea for cleaning them because of that. Looks like these headlights are ruined but at least they were just ebay cheapos. But on the bright side the rest of the truck is finally clean!

Picked up a set of power fold trailer tow mirrors (takeoffs from a 2013) I found on Kijiji and installed them this evening.

trans line fully let go, must have just worked it's way loose. noticed she was screaming, no wonder she was going 40 km/h at 2500-3000 rpm, she wasn't changing gears. barely made it to a gas station to refill the trans, then barely made it to our buddy's that usually does the work I'm not equipped to do myself. funny thing is I knew they were bad and had brand new ones to install soon, guess that's rescheduled now lol.

I'm just glad it happened where it did, would have been totally f***ed if it happened barreling out the highway miles from civilization

I was coming back to Red Deer from Ft St John, BC in a 2006 Ram and had a tranny line burst. It was okay cruising along, but slipped like crazy when I stopped and took off again. Stopped in Whitecourt, AB at a Dodge dealer and they were able to fix it right away. Took a hell of a lot of fluid. Holy moley.
