Today we went to Lowes and bought a tool box for the bed, ran some errands, and finished up my ham radio install..

Today my dad called and said to go get a clevis hitch so I knew it was going to be an interesting day for my truck. So after buying the hitch I went to the office and hooked up to a surprisingly heavy Richiger unloader and headed south to Texas. We're about half way there and driving the rest of the way tomorrow morning. As of now I can't drive over 60 mph because the unloader will sway extremely bad and I'm only getting 8 mpg. My toughest test I have put my truck through especially considering the 103 temps I drove through today in the hills of Missouri. (Not to mention the bed full, and I mean full, of luggage, golf clubs etc since I'm moving back to college when I leave TX.) I must say my truck has handled it well and all my temps are maintaing very well.

We drove through 4 feet of water on a flooded road just for fun..then we ran around the city just out of boredom...then we went for ice cream and played a game called "see how many bugs we can splat on the windshield" on the way home...thank god we lost that part but it's still pretty nasty..that's it!

Spent 20 minutes chaning my oil....

..... and 2 hours cleaning the oil off the driveway as I didnt see one of my daughter's toys stuck in the drain/fill plug of my oil 'catcher'

Nothing like having the wife walk into the house, after I went in to use the latrine and ask, "Hey... do you know you have a bunch of oil under the truck running down the drive way?"
... Wanted to comment. "Yeah.... figured I would give BP some competition in oil spills". But as I do love her and realize we both speak sarcasm as a second language... I just ran out and started the cleaning process.

Brightside... now running full synthetic in the truck

Just changed the front left hub in my 04. Took it for a test drive, nice and quiet now, no more squeaking. Wish I would have turned it around when I was working though, I was sitting right in the sun with a black shirt on, not my best idea.

We went and picked up a new aluminum dirt bike ramp then loaded up my kx250f and the dads klx250 (dirtbikes) then went and got the oil change. Driving 7 hours to Michigan for my cousins wedding next week then down to the née house in Ohio so shell see prolly 1000 miles or more and I've never driven more them 1.5 hours lol should be interesting. Lol especially for a 16 year old. I'm thinking Chicago will be fun with a 5 speed manual. It's gonna be he'll if we get stuck.
