My truck is only two weeks old to me, so I've been playing a bit. Today, I ran the wires for my iPhone from the head unit under the console and into the center storage area. Then I hard-mounted part of a phone holder so I can keep stuff in the center without burying the phone. Installed the head unit and extra USB port. I replaced the grey parts of the console around the shifter and center console lid with brand news pieces. Had the windows tinted a few days ago. Added the billet grille and Homelink module today as well.

Pulled our 24 ft pontoon back home after winterization was done. Truck has no issues pulling. Cannot say enough good things about her.

I realized yesterday I was selling what I planned to haul our "new" travel trailer home tomorrow, my '09 GMC Canyon. Been trying to sell it for like 3 weeks, and of course, sold it today. Nice to have cash, but I had not yet wired the new Escape for a brake controller or trailer power, because I didn't think we would get an trailer till next spring. My 2001 F150 I bought a few weeks ago (maybe 3), didn't have a hitch on it. Well, lo and behold, what an easy vehicle to get ready to tow a travel trailer. A plug for the brake controller under the dash, so plug and play there, and plug and play out back for a 7 pin RV connector. Took maybe 2-1/2 hours to wrap up the whole thing. So am now prepared for a trip to New Jersey tomorrow to pick up a 2012 ParkLiner. Plus I bought all new brake stuff and a couple ball joints for install over the next few weeks. Pics when I get a chance!

Do you have the steering wheel controls? If so so they still work with your new head unit?

Drove to my grandfathers funeral (RIP) which was my first road trip in my truck. I was pretty impressed by getting 20.4 MPG on the way to Port Lavaca, Texas from Houston. On the return trip, I averaged 19.4 MPG but I had a 20 MPH headwinds but still handled like I was hoping. Next trip is next month for a deer hunting trip to West Texas with my dad.

Towed the sea doo in to get winterized, first time towing with the new F150, seemed good.

Today I installed LED's for my map, dome, and license plate lights. Puddle lights and vanity lights LED's on the way. No pics as I can't really get one that shows the light right.
