Ok, I'm going to be painting my grill black and the rims with plastidip, thanks to BrowningSCrew for the idea and picture, bottom pic is stock rims top pic is stock rims with plastidip. Question is, should I take the then off the truck and do front and back or just front and leave them on the truck, or should I take the tires off and do the rims that way?

Half way through on painting the grill, just need to get the back side. Here are some before and during pics

I personally think it would look better with the outside PTM with the inside bars/mesh black....but then again I'm slightly biased since that's how mine is after I sprayed my FX4 bars black from grey: (1) What did you and your truck do today?-image-2083567549.jpg Just seems like there's TOO much black going on with your front end now.
Edit: after looking again, not sure how that would work out on yours bc of the smaller vertical bars that tie back into the grille surround.

Do you still have your old Platinum grille? If so, I would PTM the outside surround white and paint the insert black. Otherwise, with this grille that will be hard to accomplish as the surround isn't able to be separated and you'd end up with a line where paint color changes.

Both grills have a solid bar across the center that has the ford emblem. I can remove the mesh looking areas and do them black and the surround and center bar white. Not sure I really like that either.....

Forgot about that middle bar. I've seen it done with the surround and center bar white and the mesh black and I think it looks good but it's up to you. I think a 6 bar FX4 grille with a white surround would look really sharp on your pickup but they're hard to find and everyone wants them. To me, the full mesh is done too often but that's JMHO.

Agreed.... I'm not a fan of the white bar across the middle. I'm always on the hunt for the fx4 grill....but as u said hard to find. Going to keep it black for now and keep hunting for what I really want. Thanks for ur opinions!
