Probly didnt hurt to have him walk up as my two daughters in the back seat 'lectured' me' on being bad and making the trooper pull me over.

Bottomline... No ticket! (although i know it was deserved if he had issued it)

..... Real glad he didnt get me on the interstate... Garmin shows top speed during the trip as 97... Must have been when passing someone.

respect that trooper that cut you some slack. Im glad to see that you show some gratitude for getting cut a break. As a police officer myself im kind of curious why you are taking trip with two of your children in the back seat and then bragging about your top speed during the trip of almost 100mph. Maybe you should take his warning and slow down when theres children in the car. Just my two cents...

Great point!! Not really bragging (or didnt intend to/shouldnt have) more of a temp loss of situational awareness. Not something I am prone to doing with the kids.

Will say the truck is a lot smoother at higher speeds than my Tahoe, which isnt an excuse but a factor that might have played a role.

As far as respecting the trooper. Had nothing but respect for his job/responsibility (or any other LE) as he approached the vehicle... Like I said... I deserved that one! He was kind enough to let me off easily.

Love my truck - hate to put miles on it.

Have put on 12,000 since I got in new in March.

It sat in the garage today while I drove my cheap, replacable Honda.

That looked like fun. So Did you want to run down and buy a mustang after this cruise?

Just watching the video gave the exciting feeling of having a nice fast car again.

Pretty cool!

Good deal! Your overall generall attitude says alot about the type of person you are...im glad we still have people out there like you. It makes my job alot easier. enjoy that truck whenever you can, just without the kids in the car! thats how i enjoy mine! Remember, us officers are just as big of gear heads as the general public...take care of yourself and family...its all you got!

wow 100 pages. I picked up the spare rim and bed liner today from the previous owner. Its amazing how clean the back looks with the bed liner in place. Next on my to do list is replace the door, and fender. Then it should be good to go for the move. I also been cleaning and packing my apt. I am amazed how Little amount of boxes all my stuff is taking. Granted 90% of my stuff is in LA storage locker, i would have thought in a year I would have collected more stuff. That and the room looked so messy before.

Took the chain saw to a friends house, cut down one of his oak trees and hauled it off.
