(1) What did you and your truck do today?
I had a buy day. Last Sunday I bought this
Today I had to go pick it up and was going to use my 6 x 12 enclosed, but to do so I would have to remove my planes and associated hold downs and such. I started by removing the wing for my P-51 and subsequently dropped it and cracked the trailing edge tip. OK, nope, not going ANY further! I wound up going to Tractor Supply and buying a 5 1/2' by 10 trailer instead, hooked it up and drove up to Janesville and picked it up.
Here's the trailer.
Discovered something very annoying about the 2016. If there is a tire wobble on the trailer, the entire truck shakes! Whoever put the wheels on did not tighten them properly and I am going to have to take them off, and index them then properly torque them. I bought a lug wrench while I was at F&F picking up the mower, and went around checking the lugs and 2/3rds were loose. Once I tightened them the shakes were cut in half, so will need to correct that. The tight ones are probably too tight. Other than that the truck handled this trailer superbly. I can only hope it can do the same with the travel trailer, I still have 600 pounds in the bed, and the deck weighs 422 pounds, so there was at least 500 pounds on the ball, and no odd steering like it did before the repairs, so things are looking up in that aspect.
That rough cut mower went through my weed and grass patch like butta! The Kubota barely registered a strain, only when I got into some really thick stuck. Of course, just like the first time I used my Finish mower, I had a wheel fall off! LOL. Same reason too, the clip got snagged! I still have to find one of the spacers and go get me a supply of 3/16" clip pins, I need a couple for my quick hitch too.
