I was shopping for a tailgate damper and looked at DeeZee and Ford for the part and was on the verge of making a purchase. I looked at the tailgate one last time and found out that when I unlatched the tailgate it did not fall open.
Upon further investigation I looked at my key fob and found out that I have a power tailgate negating any need for the damper.
I felt pretty dumb with the discovery, but happy I have the option on my Lariat.
Only 76 miles so I am still learning what is on the truck.

I blew almost all of the ATF out of my 2007 F150 on my way to work this morning. It seems like the top line going into the radiator (ATF Cooler) on the drivers side fell out. Looks like there is supposed to be a type of retainer that holds the line in place Ford Called it a collet. Well removed the drain pan, & there was only about 2 liters of ATF left. Hope I didnčt do any damage. No burnt smell, & was still pouring oil out when I parked & shut it off.
