The top picture shows your cam phaser to the far left, with the timing chain running over the top ( large sprocket). the VCT Solenoid is the tall skinny part with the black electrical connector on top, you can see it best in the bottom right picture. Each side has one. Looks like they cut open the oil filter to show if the filter is old or not. The inside of the valve covers tell the story of sludge and possibly previous owner not keeping up on oil changes.

Nothing from Corporate. The tech and team leader both said that they're confident enough to start working on the engine, but won't for obvious reasons.
