mine would have just burned up. couldn't have come at a realistic worse time financially either, so I'm glad she made it to our buddy's. at least 10 times the money if it happened on the highway or in the city, and that's right where I was headed respectively.

well, it's getting done anyway, so ultimately I'm quite glad. that was the last big restoration job, so after that then it's mod time

Isn't that how it goes, eh? At the worst possible time? Either when there's no cash available or on an 850km trip. At least it didn't burn your tranny.

Sometimes owning a vehicle sucks.

every machine will have a few issues. I don't mind spending money on her, she's worth it. now the wait to get her back will be the biggest annoyance, lol

My truck will take us home from the lake today. Five days of fun in the sun with friends and family.
Awesome holiday with a great fireworks show that we saw from our boat.

Started converting my xlt into my work rig. Kinda breaks my heart in a way stripping my old GMC. .. it's the best truck I have ever owned hands down. I won't sell it.. but taking away it's daily driver status saddens me....

However... the dealership didn't include any license plate screws for my xlt... nor did I get an owners manual. So back I go tomorrow.

I can't bring myself to punch holes in a brand new trucks bed floor so I will attach my tool chest and slide out with existing anchor points in the bed.

Drove to the top of Whiteface Mountain in the Adirondacks. Today am packing up camp & heading down the road.

Towed the vacation trailer up to about 6000ft elevation. Then took the little Tracker on part of the Fordyce Trail and bashed the shyt out of it.

Oh yea, and for 'today', already did something productive in my first hour at work, haha. After shopping around at some of the various online dealers, picked up my 7yr/100k/$0ded Premium Care ESP, along with the first day & upgraded rental, (remember when dealers did that anyway? Sigh, the good days). Zeigler was just a few bucks more than the cheapest (even after the $225 promo code), but I've used them before and try to be loyal when possible.

(Wanted to get the 125k, but that was a huge price-jump when I only average 15k/year. Had to be realistic on the cost/reward of that extra mileage).

So that's my 'mod' for today, haha.
