I used the multi stage sand paper up to 2000 then buffed the crap out of the headlights on my old Merkur Scorpio and it did really well.

You're wasting money and creating a lot more waste oil than you need to Cody. It was a difficult transition for many of us who were raised on the old maxim, "change your oil every 3000 miles;" both engines and lubricants have evolved. Over the last 5 or 6 years I've increased my change interval from 5,000 miles to roughly 7,000--7,500 miles.

I used full syn in my 2002 f150, switching to it at roughly 80,000 miles. It had 160,000 on it when I traded it for the 2012 f150 and still had a lot of life in it. My service advisor talked me out of spending the extra money on full syn on the new truck, saying the syn-blend oils are very, very good.

We have a 2013 f150 now. I didn't keep the 2012 very long. I expect that somewhere along the way I'll switch to full syn oil, but I'm happy with the longer change interval, saving time, money, and waste oil. If you like the dealership you work with, talk to the service manager or an advisor about this--I'll bet they reassure you.

My Magnum is a 2005 and has sat outside most of it's life. The lights are not real bad yet but do not look good. I'm the one that broke one. So I have no regrets.

As far as oil, I started with synthetic and 5,000mi changes in the 90's and when I had the head rebuilt on my 1989 Voyager at 170,000mi the mechanic commented on the low wear. So yes you can change your oil less frequently now. Remember that the 5.0 holds 8 quarts of oil. My old Dodge held only 5.

Put lowering shackles on my sons Ranger. 1.5" drop. May take out his overload spring to get it perfectly level:

I run every 5-6k on my 07 5.4. 7. Quarts in 7 quarts out. I use motorcraft 5w-20 synthetic blend. No cam phaser issues either.

Changing oil isn't bad,but it cost me $23 at the dealership,I can't do it cheaper at home.
