Played around in the snow, since the road crews haven't plowed anywhere in this area. There's about 6" on the ground now.

It's raining like crazy,at a gas station there is a bowl shape part of the lot,everything from the roads and parking lot runs into it,I went through it and it was way deeper than expected lol. Then I pulled the wires for my lights,spent 20 minutes trying to re-run them because they wouldn't work just to realize my ground bolt wasn't tight.

Last night we drove to my wife's Christmas party. Just under 100 mile round trip. Snowing, slick in many spots, dark both directions and the height of the winter animal migration (bison and elk primarily, but moose, pronghorn and deer are out there too).
Really, really like the HID headlights on our new 2013. In addition to better visibility down the road, appreciate the the fact that they light up the sides of the road significantly better than conventional headlights; that's a nice thing when there are animals crossing in the dark.

Used my truck to pull my tractor out of the snow last night. (No pics, it was too dark. 
)
Plowing snow last night with the little Kubota front-end loader, I got a little too far off the edge of the driveway when piling up the snow. The front wheels dropped off the edge of the driveway and I got stuck. And the more I tried to free myself, the more I slid sideways. I finally ended up with the tractor buried in two feet of snow and unable to do anything but spin the tires.
Got a chain and backed the truck into position down the long driveway. Put it in 4x4 low, locked the differential, and pulled. It took a couple tries to get the angles right (with two feet of snow on either side of the narrow driveway I didn't have a lot of room to play with) but after a little wheel spinning and hopping on the slick packed snow, it dragged the tractor right out of its predicament.
The truck did a great job!
The attached photo shows the aftermath this morning. The driveway marker stake is leaning over to the side because the tractor was on top of it after it was done sliding off the driveway. The long rut (partially filled in with blowing snow) is where the wheels were dragged out. Finishing up the plowing last night filled in the hole in front of the stake where the front of the tractor was.
Hmmm... from this angle, looking down, the snow doesn't look that deep...
