Long weekend
Took the first road trip starting last Thursday with two of my Daughters to visit my oldest Daughter in Lafayette La. Left Houston around 11:00am, and arrived early that afternoon. My oldest is engaged, so we drove another small trip out to the country to spend the weekend at the future inlaws camp, which is out in the Morganza La. area.
We did some fishing and hooked up a few Gar's, took the party barge out and did some swimming, and cruising. More dining and hanging out, then headed back to Lafayette Sunday afternoon.
Back in Lafayette we made some dinner, then loaded up for the road trip back Sunday night. 565 miles clocked as I pulled into the driveway here in texas. Just turned over the first thousand today running errands. Average MPG is right at 19mpg.
Quick wash today to get the major bugs and crud off, to be followed by a more in depth clean tomorrow. Small tree branch incident that left a small scratch in the door. Will get that buffed out tomorrow as part of the cleaning.

Unique & Different
Made my truck work Saturday. Went out to our property to set up a stand, check the trail cameras and cut up a red oak tree that broke. I had to make multiple trips through the property with bed loaded with 20" pieces of red oak to the trailer and unload, then go back for more. Would have been nice to bring the trailer up to where the tree was, but it wouldn't have survived the creek crossing. That crossing has 10 to 12 degree banking on both sides. My hitch dragged in the sand with a load in the bed.

Sorry no pics. It looks fantastic though, and even better at night. Looks like it was made that way. Makes your truck more visible. If you have the time I highly suggest doing it. I am in no way a mechanical guy so I was very hesitant, but was able to do it.

Unique & Different
External detail, on just the paint. Wash, Clay, Polish, and Protectant, with Blackfire products. Waiting until tomorrow to put the Crystal Seal on. Still need to do the roof. The dealer just painted the roof this week due to some chips I noticed so I am waiting a week before I do that. Next up is polish and sealing of the glass.

I bought my BedRug used and as it had been installed previously, there was no installation kit included (the kit is just stick on velcro).
Initially I just placed the BedRug in the truck. The sides and cab back stood up just fine. The tailgate cover just laid there so I had to fold it over before shutting the tailgate.
Was going to buy an installation kit for $30 plus shipping.
Had a $12 roll of velcro laying in the garage. This was just enough to put up the sides of the bed just inside the tailgate and also to secure the top and bottom of the tailgate in place.
Now the BedRug appears as if it is properly installed although the front and sides are just sitting there in place.
If I did not have a tonneau cover, it would be necessary to do a full install. But with the tonneau, no more is necessary.

Rub-A-Dub-Dub
Cleaned up the tree branch scratch, washed the whole vehicle, and waxed the front half, before the rain came on to heavy to continue. The paint needs a little more work, but doesn't seem in to bad of shape for not having been clay barred yet.

@venatic Wow that had to be exhausting loading the truck up, then having to unload it and put on a trailer, then unload again. You crossed a creek? Is your truck lifted or something? I would be scared of getting stuck. LOL

I used the truck to carry our Kayaks 175 mi round trip so we could go fishing for sharks late last night. I took video of the trail on our way, its all ruts and moguls. The trail takes about 15 minutes and is less than a mile.
