What to clean rear wheel wells with?
I bought a couple cans of Rustoleum Undercoating (Pro Grade) to use on my rear wheel wells. I'll wash them out prior to starting the process but I figure that I should probably wipe them down with something to prep for the undercoat. I was thinking that something like mineral spirits would be the way to go. What does the F150 brain trust think?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Wheel well liners are my choice - simple, cheap enough, and protect the wheel wells while looking much better than the paint.

Thanks for the suggestion on the wheel liners but that isn't in the budget at the moment. Also, all the pictures from Husky & Rough Country show the plastic outer wheel well trim strip removed. Not sure if that was just their picture or if its necessary when adding the liner but I want to keep my trim strips on.

I used a SOS pad to rough up the paint a bit, then washed with a degreaser (don't remember which), then taped off and sprayed them.
I do have a bit of chipping (but drive on gravel everyday). My recommendation is to rough up the paint really well before spraying and do lots of thin coats.
