Default Warranty after mods?

I'm just curious as to what sort of co-operation Ford owners get from dealers after making in some cases pretty drastic modifications to our trucks? I know there are laws that state a warranty cannot be denied due to a mod that had no effect on failed component.

I like most on this site enjoy adding goodies here and there but in the back of my mind I always wondered just how far one could go. For example, I can't imagine getting the time of day once a lift kit was installed, or tires that hang outside of the box by a foot after a tie rod end failed.

Also, insurance claims? Any poor soles out there who wish to share their experiences with those folks? Good or Bad?

Going to vary from dealer to dealer. Some don't mind mods and just write them as regular warranty and others will flat out say Nope.
