Ford was never in the type of trouble that GM and Dodge were. Both those companies, in my opinion, increased warranty periods to gain customers while Ford realized that their customer base was that much more solid.

That's what I thought. Zap is a youngling though, he hasn't been alive long. Dodge and GM have had tons of power train issues which is why they've had to increase theirs to retain buyers.
