Default Vintage F150 commercials

I’m sure these have probably been posted at some point in time over the years but just Incase someone hasn’t seen it yet. Not to mention those gas mileage numbers

Very cool. I’d be interested to see how the aluminium bed held up with a truck across its bed rails, any takers?

They have rigged up some sort of supports in the bed of the trucks. Nothing is touching the bed rails. Steel would bend too.

Assuming some of those gas mileage numbers were close (like any manufacturer doesn’t embellished), it interesting that after 30 years we are now only just starting to get closer to those numbers. Not there yet. Just find that interesting that with all this new technology that we can’t even beat the 30 year old technology yet.

I'd like to find the commercial where the FORD guy pulls the Chevy, and boat out of the water. The gal in the Chevy says, "I can't believe it sank". The FORD guy says, "Like a rock".

Would really like to see that commercial again. Have looked, and no luck.

I wonder how accurate those fuel economy numbers are? I'd love to see 33 highway, 25 city (of that inline 6) with my 5.4L, but I only get around 15-17 highway, 9-11 city. (20-21 if I constantly drive about 45-50mph)

I do know someone at work who owns an old 80's Ford pickup, I should ask him what it got.

I'm old enough to remember when those were on TV. I love Youtube for watching old commercials!

I do remember a couple of those commercials. The guy at work has a 1984 Ford F-250 (I believe he bought it new). He said he took the four barrel carb off and put a two barrel on because he thought the truck was too powerful.

I remember most of those commercials but I much prefer the jingle of the 80s commercials: "Have you driven a Ford lately?"

There is a version of the song I cannot find that I happen to like with the ending of the commercial showing a ranger or f150 (don't remember) pulling up with a close up of the driver and the chorus singing, "have you driven a Ford. Driven. A. Ford. Lately" Lately being sung by a single voice but the rest by a chorus of voices.
