I was told by the dealership that they benefit if I wait 4 months to refinance and that's my plan. They treated me well and I have a friend that works there so I'll return the good favor to them. We're not financing much ($7,500) so paying 4 months of interest at the 6.9% or whatever isn't the worst thing in the world. As a side note, interest rates are crazy low right now so I'd refinance as soon as possible. Both for the vehicle and homes. I work for a bank and can't believe how high of an interest rate people have and are content with.

Do the refi bought my FX4 with a credit score of over 800, Fords best was a 5.99%. Told me not to refi as they would get hit with a penalty. Who cares, you just got over 40K out of me. Went down 3 days later refied with my local bank at 2.3%. Got a letter from Ford a few days after that they had screwed up my financing and were giving me a better rate 5.49%, no thanks.
