except he's not. He says he has a "2008 with a bad v10". Ain't no F150s, ever, came with a V10. So....assuming (though thanks to Occam's Razor...the simplest answer is usually correct)....that he has a F250 or F350, not a F150.

If we use Occam's Razor again, and consider that maybe he transplanted a V10 into his f150, I would guess he's experienced and educated enough not to have to ask a question like this on here, lol.

Partly correct, he could also have an Excursion.

pretty sure excursion production ended before 2008

Okay, all the way correct! My 03 Excursion had a V10, had it a 7.3, I may still have it.

Did he already leave?

I don't know if the 2008 would have had a 3 valve V10 but that's what the new trucks have, I would think it would probably be a pretty direct swap if both are 3 valves.

Truck has a 3 valve and the E series is a 2 valve, look at the link in post #9.
