Default Urgent powertrain question.

Hey guys, i was driving down the road a few minutes ago and the little picture of a wrench appears on my instrument panel. I run a vehicle health report, and check it when I get home. When I go to the Sync website there is an Urgent Powertrain failure detected.

I got a new set of tires about a week ago and they are 275/70/18, the old ones were 265/60/18. I'm leaning toward the fact that I have had nothing reprogrammed since I changed tire sizes and the computer senses the change.

Have you guys had this happen after changing tire size? I tried to call the dealership, but of course being the holidays, they are closed. Any insight you guys can give would be great. BTW my truck is a 2010, Screw, 2wd, 3.55 gears. Oh yeah, and as of 2 months ago, out of warranty. Thanks guys.

The wrench has to do with the electronic throttle control, one of the motors has failed either on the pedal or the throttle body it self.

Thanks for the reply man. Any ideas on what something like that would cost? Funny thing is the truck doesn't drive any differently. Is it ok to drive? Its kinda got me freaking out.

By experience if the truck went into limp mode it is probably a throttle body sensor. I have no idea what that means as these new compooterized vehicles are greek to me, but that's what was wrong with the Wifey's when the wrech came on, and the thing lost a ton of power. Sorry I don't know the cost, it was still under warranty. If the truck is running good, it's should be OK to drive........I think, I guess, maybe, Oh crap, I don't know. Good luck brother.
