Default Unknown tool

I have no idea where to post this so put it in general section. What is this tool? I looks similar to a thread pitch tool but dont think it is. Any ideas? A friend found this buried in his late fathers boxes. He was a auto mechanic back in the late 60's early 70's..

Do you have a close up picture of just one? With the writing? I noticed one says 20

Look's kind of like a gauge to check spark plug's.

How about a gauge to measure threads per inch on bolts

Never seen a thread pitch gauge rounded like that.
Maybe some type of belt pitch gauge?

Old timer in the shop corrected me, it's a gauge for saw blades

Ask him how you use it.
The teeth on most saw blades have some angle to them, these gauges do not, that is why I am curious to its purpose and how it is used. Even if it was specific to a particular style of blade, I do not understand how it would be used.
