Forks your lift
I just did a 400 mile road trip this weekend. Highway (77/78mph cruise) and rural highway (62/63mph cruise) and averages 18.3 round trip. Pretty happy about that

Fueled it up for the second time yesterday : 16.2MPG (mostly city)
Screw 4x4 3.5EB with 10spd
First fuelup, I did 20.5mpg, which is a huge difference. My foot is a little heavier on the pedal, though.

Hit about 16.5 on a round trip outside ATL carrying 800lbs in the bed...not bad for an old 5.4

These laws have reached the heart of why you receive the mileage you perform at any automobile. Your motor vehicle is performing all those things whenever you're moving. Hence the problem arises, "Joe the plumber and I drive the same truck with the same specifications, but Joe's gets better mileage WHAT GIVES??" The motorist adds a massive section of the outside facets.

MPG update on my side:
17.1L/100kms (or 13.75MPG)
Round trip to the cottage + a few rides in town (70% highway, 30% city). Weather is around 0c (or 32F) right now - that did not help.
Installed 33'' Falken Wildpeaks (non LT). Tires are 5lbs heavier than OEM each + a little stiffer. It's actually the worst consumption I got since 5000kms. Driving habits have not really changed, besides the fact that I did a few overtaking on sport mode when going to the cottage.
