This is a strange one. I have been having random alarms go off on my 2018 Lariat since I purchased it new a year ago. After troubleshooting online and in the forum, I finally took it to the dealer in July. They have been working off and on since then trying to figure out the issue with Ford Engineering support to no avail. Today, they tell me that they have figured out the issue. They found a second remote starter installed (Ford non-factory kit) in addition to the factory one that came on my truck. They located this truck from another dealership and it had around 500 miles on it when I bought it. The service manager could not come up with a reasonable explanation on how or why this would have occurred other than a clueless technician at the previous dealership. I get the truck back tomorrow to drive for a while to see if the issue has been resolved.

Just found this very bizarre and wondered if anyone had any theories on why this would have been installed?
