I think the price sounds fair. I traded in my 2012 F-150 XLT/ 5.0 with 39k in mint condition. I got 24k for it and it was advertised for 27.5 font know what it went for.

yeah I figured they got 24 or 25k into it, so if I end up walking out with them making a small profit its ok in my book, I just dont want to get raked over the coals. I actually do not like the chrome bumpers and chrome grill but FX2 are hard to find anywhere near me so Im settling on this one, I do like all the extra goodies it has. I will post pictures on Monday if I come home with it. Thanks for the input.

The fact that you drive away with a truck that you trust and are proud to own is key, the dealer is entitled to make a reasonable profit and you want them to step up on your behalf if the truck needs warranty repairs. Enjoy your ride and post some pics so we can see her.

It sounds like a fair deal to me also Tom. But do yourself a favor, and check prices for a new XLT. You may be able to go new for a few bucks more if it is in your budget. There are some crazy discounts on '14 XLT's in the southeast region right now. Just a thought.

You can check the rebates/incentive in your area at www.ford.com. Under shopping tools look for offers/incentives.

Valid concern.

However, unfortunately for you having it turned off doesn't mean they can't track you.
The GPS locator is on your vehicle regardless and can be tracked.

This is in OnStar's agreement......

All vehicles in the modern age seem to be going towards big brother spying on all vehicles under the 'guise of "Safety". That's how you get a society to forgoe their privacy/rights without their knowledge. On Star has been funded in part by the US Govt for I think 20 years now......and the FBI was using it to spy on people illegally well over 12 years ago they were caught.

There are a MULTITUDE of ways for the Fed's to track people with digital footprints in the modern era most people don't even think about. Cellphones via tower acquisitions, vehicles GPS, social media, etc.

Default Price to you ?

If the dealer likes the price.....your paying too much. I just bought a 2014 STX with 3.7 and all the stuff that comes on the STX........23k out the door. I'll put the first 30,000 miles on it. Sticker was over 28k.

Ya' better tell them this "I wanna go home and call all my friends and tell them you will not believe what I bought how little I paid". Remember, if the dealer likes it it's too much.

Wheelspinner, I may have paid too much, but I sure do love my truck and the guys at Havana Ford treated me right!
