IMO yes it is, just like shooting a motor full of NOS is abuse. You're increasing the pressures, strains, and therefore inevitably decreasing the lifespan of the motor. People will argue this til they're blue in the face but it's simple dynamics of increasing the power has a negative side.......

If your intended ownership is to abuse the truck and dump it after a 4 year span of ownership on the next unsuspecting buyer, then tunes could be for you. My intended ownership is not to abuse it and dump it on the next unsuspecting buyer however, I'm trying to keep my truck for the long haul.

If you have to HIDE the tune when going to the dealer, it's technically total dishonesty and theft of services if you goto the dealer for damages your tune could have done. I'm seeing many people do this lately. Honest people with integrity do not do that, scumbags do that. Choose for yourself but don't pretend and ask yourself honestly......

If you want to run a tune, don't hide the tune when going to the dealer. Be honest.
People are running blowers on these engines with no ill effects, a tuner only opens up what Ford leaves off the table, no blower on my engine, too rich for my blood.

You really should learn about the changes a programmer does. When customers would bring their vehicles in for repair at the dealer I worked for and still tuned It made my job more difficult, I would always tell them to de-tune and bring it back so I could run the diagnostics. Would much rather them return the system to stock before hand, time is $$ when you work on flat rate pay.

Living on poverty wages because a major corporation (Ford) sells multi thousand dollar machines that only half way work and hold carrots in front of techs faces to give them false hope of better pay to fix their f_u_c_k ups are scumbags to me. They deserve everything they get.

You haven't walked the mile in their shoes so your opinion is null and void!!!

I had to QUIT working for them just to be able to afford a new one, under their thumb I had to scavenge the scraps from used auctions.

Your next question will undoubtedly be "why did you buy their product" That's an easy answer.I am familiar with them, how they are built, and how to fix them.

So to sum up your post, to make sure I understand you correctly......

Your position is that everyone should lie and cheat and screw Ford over
because you're a disgruntled ex-employee, who just happened to support
them regardless by buying their product ??

Did I get that correct >?
Hey, to each their own but no offense, I don't think that's a very healthy outlook in life.
A disgruntled Chase bank employee would get the same sentiment if they began ranting
about robbing Chase bank.

Being a mechanic working for anyone in this day and age sucks.
I've heard complaints from most manufacturers about their BS job and pay.
The Chevrolet dealership right by my house has had the mechanics locked
out since before the Summer started ......3 months now.

The day Ford paid me 8hrs to do a 24hr job is the day I lost all love for corporate. As I already stated why I bought not one but 2 brand new Fords in 2013, I am familiar with them, I know how to work on them when they break and they will break, I did leave one other reason out, I don't trust anyone touching my vehicles, even under warranty items like the leaking rear shocks I just replaced, sure I could have had them replaced under warranty.

Look at it like this, I save Ford $$ every time I take care of an issue while under warranty, it's give and take for me so if a small issue arises I come out my pocket, if the engine slings a rod then I'll bring it in if still under warranty, I consider all the rest lagniappe.
