Tuner ? / Done to death

Ok ok, I know these which tuners best bla bla bla questions seem to be regurgitated constantly. I hope my question is a little more fresh and as I've not seen it posted this way I'm going to assume it is.
So what I'm wondering, of those that are using a tuner and still have factory warranty. How many of you have been denied a warranty claim due to the tuner being installed on your vehicle?
I've got an SCT X4 that I'd love to use on my '15 F150 2.7L but I'm concerned it could either cause issues that void a claim or just by the mere fact that the tune is installed it could warrant a denial.
So how about it, has anyone had this happen or am I worrying about nothing?

I don't know what gear configurations ford offers for the 2.7's, but 3.73, 3.93, or 4.10 would certainly liven things up.

My tune may/may not be causing P0012 codes. Been to dealer 4 times on it and they've not charged me a dime yet. They're aware of tune and have been pretty patient.
Now my CEL just came on again...after being stock for less than a week. Taking it in Monday since I need oil/tires done anyway.
I have a thread on this in the 09-14 section I will update.

What gears does your truck have? Although I'm comparing apples to oranges again here, when I was over on the Cummins forums guys who had done a moderate-heavy amount of upgrading to their rigs said that bar none, regearing was the second best thing they did for their trucks.

My ratio is 3.55 and while I get that going lower would "feel" like I had more power the reality is you don't. I like the 3.55s for the MPGs so what I'm looking for and who isn't is more real power. I've already got the tuner as I used it on my 02 F150, yes I unmarried it from that truck. I keep hearing a tune really livens things up on this 2.7 but I heard the same thing for my 5.4 2v but honestly I could barely tell that it helped that much. I think these tuners should PROVE their tunes numbers on a dyno or let you try before you buy. Obviously no one wants to loose their warranty from doing a mod....

Sounds like you're using the canned tunes the programmer comes with, while it is better than stock it's nothing compared to a custom tune. That will wake any engine up, I have 6 of them that I change up every now and then and talk about night and day difference from stock.

Really have to agree with RNL, even my mildest tune, 87PT, woke up my 5.0 big time.

I'm only the middle man bud. I'm sure there is a lot more to it. He also mentioned "Mode 9 = Ford Wins"
I can't personally confirm or deny anything man, but the person telling me this is a Current, Very Good, Master Ford Tech that had denied many warranties because of what he was able to find and just so happens to own a national known 10sec Lightning.
I must add the TSB also noted if you can't find anything to call the Ford Help Line, no telling what they have up there sleeve.

Mode 9 data:
This is with my truck tuned, see if your people can tell you anything about it, that is if you get a chance. I'll de tune and run it again later.

My opinion won't be a popular one......
I was given a Livernois tuner by my FFL dealer and I still haven't applied any tunes. Why ?? Simply because I don't trust the engine to survive longevity wise if I abuse it. Is it abuse ?? IMO yes it is, just like shooting a motor full of NOS is abuse. You're increasing the pressures, strains, and therefore inevitably decreasing the lifespan of the motor. People will argue this til they're blue in the face but it's simple dynamics of increasing the power has a negative side.......
If your intended ownership is to abuse the truck and dump it after a 4 year span of ownership on the next unsuspecting buyer, then tunes could be for you. My intended ownership is not to abuse it and dump it on the next unsuspecting buyer however, I'm trying to keep my truck for the long haul.
If you have to HIDE the tune when going to the dealer, it's technically total dishonesty and theft of services if you goto the dealer for damages your tune could have done. I'm seeing many people do this lately. Honest people with integrity do not do that, scumbags do that. Choose for yourself but don't pretend and ask yourself honestly......
If you want to run a tune, don't hide the tune when going to the dealer. Be honest.
That's like someone using a TV for a year and then returning it after they break it and trying to play the warranty claim card.....you know how those people look.
