Default Trying to convince my dad to buy me an F-150

Okay, so my birthday is coming up soon and im turning 16 and ive been wanting an F-150, for like 4 years. I live in Florida, and Im trying to convince my dad why i should get an F-150. Can anyone tell me why they like there truck, the maintence cost, gas mileage, performance and the insurance? Ive googled around for hours and printed some information off. I have been told by a friend that the F-150 has poor suspension, but im not sure how true that is? Please help, Thanks

IMO
Take whatever your dad is willing to do and be thankful for it.
If he buys you an old station wagon consider yourself lucky
You want a 150 ? Start establishing your credit and save your money

Please don't request a specific vehicle as you should be happy if you get anything at all. No problem letting your Dad know what you like but do not demand something by giving him all kinds of documents and such unless he asks for them.

Dads love their children and want to do right by them but kids have to understand, there are priorities your Dad has to deal with that you are not aware of and putting extra pressure on him is not the way to go about things.

Now if your Dad says he wants you in a Chevy or Dodge and that is the issue, then send him here and will will straighten his ideas right up!

Good Luck with what/if you get and be happy and appreciative no matter what!

Are you looking in a particular price range or range of years? Knowing that will help answer your question a little better.

Emphasize safety, parents are more concerned about that than anything else.

This, very much this. Get a job and save up money. Your Dad does not need to buy any vehicle.

Good luck with it all.

Not exactly a selling pount for 97-03...

To the op: start saving money. I put half down (1500) for my first truck...
