wipers power and steering column
I was having problem of no power to wipers or power windows on some cranks but found out that i had power when i held the key switch pushed more to the start/on position so i replaced the old key lock cylinder with a new one and it helps some but still not 100% i need something more fixed , could it be some adjustment of the ignition wiring plugs or could it be a part inside the steering column.
Has anyone ever had and fixed this problem ,Please , in Florida I need my wipers

hello again
I was just driving to drop off some trash and i thought of a temporary fix for my wiper problem just to run a hot wire with a fuse in the line to the wiper and maybe for the power windows , got home and looking in the Haynes 1980-1996 manual page 12-46 wiring diagrams i find that the ignition switch , run function is what is not making good contact , Sure need a fix for this ,so for now am thinking of a 12 volt jumper to the black-light green wire coming from the ignition switch, looking further i find that there is a gray yellow wire also running to the ac (mine has been not been running and this may be my problem for this)and maybe a overdrive switch(don't know if i have this)
has anyone ever done this and where is the best place to get the 12 volt and where to get to the black-light green wire going to the fuse box and do you think this would work
Thanks I sure need some reply's on this as i sure need some wipers that i know will work.

Hello all
I have replaced the ignition switch and that was the problem, the key cylinder is not the ignition switch just controls a rod running down the column to the switch, i now have power to windows and the wipers when running,
now going to the lake, have a good day Ed
