Truck broke down on me tonight, anyone have this happen?
It was raining and i turned out of a shopping plaza and accelerated and my tires spun because of the rain and the truck violently shook while the traction control was working, then the speedo went to 190 but there was a serious lack of power.. I was able to get around a corner and down a side street! turned the truck off for a few minutes and turned it back on! the truck revved up to 2400 rpm, the speedo went to 190 and my odometer kept climbing like i was driving but i was in park! after a couple minutes the rpm's dropped to normal, speedo went to 0 so i was able to drive away! I drove for a couple more minutes thinking it was fine and then it lost complete power again, speedo went to 190 but this time there was no power or rpm at all when i pushed the gas pedal! So I pulled off the road and it wouldn't go into any gears except neutral, in neutral the rpms would rev to 2400, but would not go higher when pusing the gas pedal, the odometer again would climb like driving even with the accesory on, car not running! anyone have this happen or know what it is? I'm worried it is the tranny or torque convertor! The truck has 5500 kms on it!

Sounds more like you have a ground or module problem. Got warranty? Time to use it.

And the year, model, etc. of your vehicle IS?
Either provide the information in your sig', and/or profile, and/or message portion of your post(s).

Rainy weather, guessing that a connector in the trans area may not be sealed and got wet and shorted or possibly a control module.
Looks like a trip to the dealer to get it thoroughly checked out.

My apologies, it's a 2013 Fx4 ecoboost! I am from the toronto area! They have had the truck at the dealer for the whole day and haven't figured out what's wrong with it! I hope it's not serious!

But Seriously? You got that i was hitting the rev limiter out of that,
I didn't know hitting your rev limiter would make your truck lose every gear so you can't drive! And when the truck is in park and turned off with accessory on the odometer is still cimbing like i was driving. I'll have to go in and tell the dealer that a guy on the f150 forums says that's what the problem is!
