Default 2018 Crew Cab Fuel Tank upgrade

I have a 2018 Crew Cab with a 26-gallon fuel tank. I want to swap it to a 36-gallon tank. Can't get confirmation if it will fit???? 5'.5" Bed, not sure the wheel base

don’t know your gen, but it will likely depend on your bed size / wheelbase.

It will definitely fit. Had a ‘17 2.7, Screw 145” wheelbase (5.5’ bed) that came with factory 36 gallon tank. Typical DTE was 700 miles when filled up. That was nice to have on road trips.

I'm planning to do the same to my truck this summer. I do snowmobile day trips and end up filling up twice in that one day. It's also a pain with a trailer behind you.

Default 36 gallon tank

I bought my 2014 used, the 36 gallon tank was a feature I was looking for. I have the 145" wheelbase and 5.5 foot bed, your door sticker should say what your wheelbase is. Love the bigger tank while on long road trips, my truck can last longer than I can without stops. Maybe someone else here can tell you how to reprogram your truck to recognize the bigger tank, maybe using FORSCAN. Good Luck!.
