Default About to Collinite my truck

I bought some 845 and 840. The 840 is a pre-wax cleaner. My question is this, my truck is tuxedo black and on the bottle the cleaner says "not for dark clear coats". How do I know if I have a dark clear coat or not?

Thanks.

I used 845 on my Black Mustang. Looks beautiful and beads like no other. I don't know about the 840 however...

I guess I'll scrap the 840.

I wouldn't use 840 on a dark vehicle. 845 is great stuff, had no cleaning abilities so you want to make sure your paint is clean before putting down 845.

Correct! I should have stated that I washed and then clayed my care prior to using the 845. Now it's like glass...

Don't use the cleaner. I clay bar'd, used a paint sealer, then Collonite 845 on my black 2013. Still looks great after a wash, 8 months later.
