Traction Control and Lockers on the 2011+
Anyone out there running an aftermarket rear locker? During my last hunting trip I managed to find some mud for about 10 miles. In a few spots, keeping the wheels moving to clean the tires was pretty important. At one section the traction control started doing all kinds of squirrely stuff as I tried to keep the wheels spinning. Traction Control seems both hit an miss. Being that the truck has open diffs, the TC kicking on the brakes on a tire that lost traction at low speed is pretty great. Keeping some power going to the good tire works great when you aren't trying to spin the tires clean.
What are people doing in terms of lockers on our trucks and how does it interact with the TC system?

Somebody correct me, but I think you can hold the button down for 5 seconds and it totally shuts off TCS. If you just press it once, it only dials down sensitivity.

If I press the button once it turns it off on my 2014. As well as other vehicles I've owned with traction control. If you turn the engine off it automatically comes back on when you restart the engine.
For certain applications I like having it, but wish it only came on when I want it on instead of me having to turn it off.

In the manual...
One push turns off Traction Control System.
5 second hold turns off stability control under 35 mph. If you exceed 35, stability control goes back on.

Let me rephrase... I know how to turn off TC and Stability control.
The whole thing is a catch 22 problem. With TC off, you don't get the "virtual" limited slip that happens when it locks a brake to send power to the wheel that isn't slipping. With it on, you get that but if you need to spin up the tires, it gets stupid and you just might wind up stuck. In the case the nearly got me, the road was canted and I turn the wheel to pull back up to the high side and the power wasn't there. It's a lose / lose unless you are on mild terrain. Then it works just fine.
I would love to have a locker but I don't know how TC would react.

Has anyone added one and what was it?
How does it interact with the TC system?
Thanks!

Call the dealer and ask but more than likely it would need a computer flash to make them interact properly ,I would like to have a limited slip in mine but it done great last year in the snow,no skid plates here so not much off roading unless I use my 4 wheeler

E-locker is nice but probably to much of a pain to install. Just go to a straight limited slip or posi lok type arrangement. Almost all your chevy and dodge are using this technology.
Most people turn off the traction control and they think that they have the problem solved but in my case you have to turn of the trailer sway as well.
