Towing Question for 2015 F150
Hello,
I am in the process of buying a travel trailer and was looking for some feedback. The trailer is 36' hitch to bumper and the body is roughly 32'. The dry weight is 7800 lbs and I figure I may add 500-700 of gear for a total weight of 8500. I have a 2015 3.5 eco boost 5.5' bed 4x4 rated at 10700 per the Ford book. I plan on using a weight distributing hitch and sway control kit. Has anyone towed anything this big with their 5.5 F150 and had any good or bad input to offer? I know I can expect 10mpg at best and I don't care. I just don't want to be white knuckling it and regret buying this thing. The next few model down is only 1000lbs less in weight anyhow.
Specific model on the trailer is 320 BHDS Coachmen Freedom Express Liberty Edition
Thanks, Tim

That trailer won't be within your Payload. Open your door, read the Payload number. SUBTRACT weight distribution hitch and any equipment you added, plus all passengers and you plus pets and anything loaded in the bed. Trailer tongue weight will be 1,000 - 1,200 or so and you are SOL.
