Towing With 2014 EcoBoost
 

Has anyone ever towed a Bobcat T190 with a 2014 F150 3.5 Ecoboost,
Gross weight of trailer and bobcat is going to be around 10600lb, would be traveling about 15miles each way, just wondering if anyone has attempted it. Theoritcally it should be within the trucks towing capacity, but that doesnt always mean that its going to actually work.

With a weight distribution hitch it'll be almost 1500 lbs tongue weight. If the truck has enough payload the drive train might pull it. Typical payloads range from 1600-1800 lbs, but depending on how individual trucks are equipped, cab style, 4X4, etc. I've seen payload as low as 1100 lbs and over 2000 lbs. Axle ratio matters too. They can range from 3.15- 3.73.

i know for a fact the truck will pull it. you may be pushing a little past it's limits though. rear axle ratio will make a difference.

It's also got to be able to stop it safely.

Yes, just balance it properly over the axles, of course this is assuming you are using the proper construction grade trailer. Unlike an RV with axles mainly centered between the load, and requiring 10-15% tongue weight, the trailers used to transport cars and construction equipment place the loads directly over the axles, leaving a low tongue weight. You will need a WDH as there will be near 1000 pounds on the ball. Make sure the trailers brakes are working 100% and properly adjusted as they will be needed, but overall there is plenty of power to pull it.
