Default Tow/Haul Question

Ok when I tow my boat I don't normally use the tow/haul, but this past weekend I decided to give it a try. First thing I noticed is the hard down shifts but then as I came to a stop when it down shifted from 2 to 1 it revved for a brief second then found first. Is this normal? As well as the hard down shifts?

I believe its normal. I have only used my tow/haul mode one time and it acted the exact same way.

Yes, it is normal. Find more about it in your manual.

I use the Tow/Haul anytime I hook up a trailer. My 21 ft Triton or my ATV trailer. The downshift is normal. It helps save your brakes.

Yep, engine braking by forcing a downshift. You'll likely find this to be more common if you're descending downhill.
