Technically, the IOLM monitor would have told you to change the oil 5 times by now... :

I changed my oil the second time at 17 months because I still only had added 5,500 miles.

If I were using regular oil I would agree with the IOLM. Been running Mobil 1 full synthetic since mile 5000 and even though my commute is less than 2 miles to work, she warms up under the carport via r/s long enough to boil off any condensation that might otherwise mix with dino juice. Not really a factor with full syn.

My wife accrues miles at your rate. I have her get the oil changed yearly...it's probably not needed, but it makes me feel better.
