Default F150 mileage help

Hello all I am new to the group and am currently in the market for a F150 I have found a 2017 Lariat FX4 5.0 6 speed and I love this truck but the mileage is a concern it has approx. 70,182 miles. My first reaction was to pass on the truck being that it is only two years old and has that many miles but I went ahead and looked at it and it runs good interior is in good condtion. Now I know that you nor I have any way of knowing what kind of maint. was done to the truck other than carfax records, my question is do I need to look anywhere in particular in the engine bay for signs of issues or would yall even take a chance on a truck with that many miles? Thanks

I'd rather have a 2 year old truck with 70,000 miles on it than a 10 year old truck with 70,000 miles on it. With that many miles that soon it has likely only had the oil changed and tires. My 14 has 77,000 miles and other than oil and tires it has everything on it had when it left the factory. Even the brakes. I had them checked a couple of months ago and was told to have them checked again at about 90,000.

Of course price is everything. There should be a good discount for that many miles and if the price is right I'd not be afraid.

They have it listed at 29,800 but i argued with them about the mileage and they will take an additional 2000 off so 27,800 sorry should have mentioned the price

Probably a lot of highway driving, aka easier miles.

Better than constant shifting through city streets.

"I" would have an independent shop inspect the truck before you buy it no matter how nice it looks. Cheap insurance. If they won`t let you, that should throw up a few red flags.

My late 16 has 70k miles on it and I have no reason to believe I'll get another 70+ out of it. Regular maintenance is key to any of these vehicles. That truck wouldn't scare me for the right price but if I was shopping for that year I'd be looking for something in the 30k miles range.
