Tonneau Cover Help

Also, keeping in mind that I live in eastern Canada, so we get a lot if snow. Velcro is not a good option for me, and it has to be able to withstand having some built up snow in it for a short period of time...

I'll post one tonight. I bought mine from TruckAddOns.Com You can see pics and compare here.
And I think it's worth mentioning...Extang has a lifetime warranty. My cover was about 2 years old and I noticed the cover starting to seperate from the frame rail. I called Extang...sent them some pics...7 days later I had a new Sig. Series at my door.

I like my Rugged Cover tri-fold. Easy on and off. Quick-release latches. It's mutch better than the old snap one I used to have.

Newbie here!
I'm thinking of getting a folding cover, what are the pros and cons of the soft vs. the hard. I'm thinking hard is better but many of you guys use the soft. What's up?
Thx,
Steve

I picked the soft top mainly for the ease of use. You can fold it back without taking it off if you need to put something in the bed. You can also take it off completely in about 60 seconds.
Below you can see the spring loaded handles.

take a look at BAK industries... I have the top of the line hard folding BakFlip F1. has the sleekest fit of any made, and can fold all the way up against window to access entire bed without taking it off. water tight and has 500 lbs rating. I think that would be enough for any slow build up overnight. I love mine... the actually make the Ford accessory hard folding one for Ford, just the model below the F1. the HD is the one they do for Ford with Ford logo. also youtube has some videos... but check out their webpage...Love mine.. best off it locks using tailgate lock no extra keys... http://bakindustries.com/

I ended up going with the Extang Trifecta Sig series... Looks good in all the pics I've seen and lots of people like it... The Bak one is indeed sweet, just don't want to spend that much.
Thanks for the help!

Nice choice.
The pros of a soft fold are:
No leaks (unless you tear it somehow).
Light weight for easy removal.
No fumbling with snaps or velcro.
Cheaper than hard folds.
The cons:
Can be cut if someone really wants in the back of the truck.
You lose part of the bed for tall objects.
The pros of hard fold:
Difficult to break into.
Usually stronger than soft folds.
Some can be folded against the window for full use of the bed.
Most look really nice.
The cons:
Heavier than a soft fold.
More expensive.
Some people have had leaks at the folds.
