Default Which tires?

I'm thinking about getting some all-terrains so I can do a little off-roading in my free time (I don't want mud-terrains b/c of the noise and shorter tread life) and I've narrowed it down to these tires.

•Nitto Terra Grappler G2
•BFGoodrich T/A KO2
•Nitto Ridge Grappler
•Toyo Tires Open Country AT II

My truck:
2012 F-150 Lariat Ecoboost Supercrew 4WD

Main characteristics I'm focusing on:
•tread life
•durability in light to mild mud and shale/gravel
•performance on road (rain, light snow, and dry)
•look

I live in central Arkansas if that helps any. We get light snow about twice a year on average and a decent amount of rain. Also fairly hilly.

Any input is appreciated, whether it be personal opinions, experience with these tires, or any other advice.

look at the hankook dynapro atm too. it is my favorite. but i will go toyo rt on my new truck though, since hankook doesn't make the size i want lol.

my opinion on the ko2's, i would sale u all 4 off my truck for the price of 2 toyo rt. 315-70r17

BFG AT gets my vote. I have used them over 20 years on two vehicles I have. I got an incredible 89k miles out of a set on my compact truck. I drive a lot in the snow and find they do great. I travel gravel roads and fields weekly. Never a problem.

I've heard good things about the toyo open country's and the nitto ridge grappler. Unfortunately the ridge grappler hasn't been out long enough for a good estimate on the amount of miles you can get out of a set. I have had several sets of nitto terra grappler's and have no complaints. They are just like the open country but have a 65k warranty. A friend of mine has 70k on his terra grappler g2's. The open country has a 55k warranty. The BFG's are good but super expensive. For the price I would look into the Nitto Terra Grappler G2.

You should also look at the falken AT3w. It's one of only two snow rated (snow flake symbol on tire) I,ve been able to find. Also has a 55,000 tread life warranty. They are reasonably priced also.

I've had a few sets of Cooper ATP's. They get my vote. Great traction in dry, rain, and snow. Very quiet on the highway. They've always done very well off road for me. I always get well over 50K miles out of them. I admit, the sidewall isn't as aggressive as some of those you've mentioned, but the tread is very aggressive. The best part is, they're usually much cheaper than the tires you've mentioned.

Don't know about on these trucks, but i had two sets of the BFGs on my old S10 ZR2. Loved them, but over time they sent so many rocks at my rockers that they started to rust out. Great traction in snow and off-road, decentish road noise, but expensive, and you have to rotate them like every 2-3k miles or else they will "cup"

Out of the 4 tire's you listed, I'd go with the BFG's.

If you open it up to other choices, I'd go with Michelin LTX A/T2's. They aren't quite as aggressive off-road, but they are stellar on-road.

I have never had cupping issues with BFG ATs on either of the vehicles I use them on.

I went with the BFGoodrich T/A KO2 route. The reviews seems overly positive. The overall aggressiveness look was not only practical but visually appealing.

They ride pretty quiet on the highway.

No issues on back roads or mud, but really haven't gone 'off-roading' with them to try and tear them up either.

BFGoodrich T/A KO2 - 275/70R18 (went +1 over oem size)
