I hate thieves.I can't help wonder if we were to up the repercussions would there be less?
Like in some other countries, you steal once,lose a finger, didn't learn your lesson? Lose the hand.I'd fully support that.

I caught a kid going through my rangers sliding window a couple years ago.

I knew his dad so i called his dad and told him, he told me to hold him there he'd be right there. Dad shows up and kid thinks he's saved from my Kimber.

Mr. S grabs him by the collar and walks him towards me and holds out the title to his sons Jeep Cherokee, after the kid protests dad says "Your choice, he could have killed you! You could be going to jail tonight, then have to pay thousands of dollars in court costs, you'd be selling this thing to pay for the fees. I'm just cutting out the middle man and teaching you a lesson."




I lifted it, shoe'd her and did tons of upgrades, after a blew the engine I sold it back to the kid for $2700, but the title went to Mr. S.

Incase I ever get it back again...

I always lock mine. Tailgate thefts are pretty low around here but I just like to have the peace of mind knowing my stuff is fine. It also keeps people from throwing stuff in there.

No. I bought one from Amazon.com ~$6. It is the basic two wire one. I bought some wire and tapped into the same wires that unlock your passenger side door. This causes it to work with your factory key fob. I just finished. It works great. The actuator kit came with everything you need except wire and connectors. It even has a clamp that fits the stock lock thingy, so you don't have to use zip ties like Dave did, here: http://members.***.net/kinzerford/F-...gate_Lock.html

The pink wire with the balck stripe is the one that locks the doors. The green wire on the actuator should hook to this.

Easy and worthwhile mod, IMO.
