Vin check reports wrong color

Vin check reports wrong color
I first noticed this when I was searching dealers online, the vin# says my truck is Vermilion Red. But the sticker reports and the actual color is obviously Ruby Red metallic, the EXT code on the door is RR.
Did I buy a truck pre ordered by someone else that the deal fell thru or what?
No big deal because had the truck been Vermilion I probably would not have bought it. The Ruby red metallic "POPS" when the sun hits it.
Curious.
Never mind, I had it ticked as an XL instead of XLT. Doh!
