Indeed. Good points to the below posters. So I will say this: Thank you OP, and remembrance to all that have fallen, and a special thought for those who bore the cross pistols in service.

Your thanks is greatly appreciated, but I want to make certain Memorial Day is correctly remembered.

Memorial Day is set aside to remember the men and women who died in service to our country.
Veterans Day is set aside to honor the men and women who are veterans and served honorably in service to our country.

Was looking for the words to post the same thing but you handled it eloquently, the day for remembering those that paid the ultimate price for all of our freedoms.

Got it for my 75th birthday to keep our vets issues in front. See 22KILL web site. Vet suicide is a huge problem in this country.
