Extremely easy.
.) Plug into OBD port. (Tuner turns on)
.) From the screen, select Program Vehicle.
.) Select tune of choice (they are labeled by Octane. Custom tunes may have other descriptions as well).
.) Configure or leave default advanced configuration changes.
.) Accept tune parameters. If you are using a custom tune, you'll likely want to leave all advanced settings alone.
.) Follow instructions on screen (it will first tell you to turn the key to the ON position). Once this happens, your truck will freak out, ie. radio shuts off, clicks, gauges spaz out for a second. Don't freak out
.) If this is your first time tuning with this tuner, the tuner will save a backup of your stock configuration so that you can go back to it.
.) Wait about 3 minutes. A progress bar with % will show on the screen.
.) Once the backup is done, the tune of your choice will automatically begin loading.
.) Wait 3-6 minutes. A progress bar with % will show on the screen.
.) When the tune is done loading, the tuner will then tell you to turn the key to the OFF position. Once again, your truck will freak out. Your radio will go to the default AM station, SYNC will show as being in maintenance, gauges will freak out, and you might throw some errors on the dash. Don't freak out
.) The tuner will then say that it is done and will go back to the home screen.
.) Unplug tuner from OBD port.
.) Fix the radio from playing that awful static AM station.
.) Drive away happy. Your trucking experience will never be the same
