I'm having a fairly loud tapping noise behind my dash on my 2013 f 150. The noise only occurs on startup. Goes away after about 1 minute. Heat works fine and still blows hot when truck warms up. Doesn't do the noise if I switch the heat settings to cold or LO. Only does it when I have it set on heat. My guess it's the blend door acuator trying to turn farther than it actually can. I attached a video link I put on YouTube of the noise.

Very common problem with Ford's. Its the door blend actuator (if I'm spelling it right ). You can search on youtube for a video, with luck they will be one to show you where they are and show you how to replace it. I changed one on my Mom's 2010 Taurus last summer, I was thankful it was the easy one behind the glove box. Around a $30 part

Its either the blend door actuator or a 3" tall gremlin with a small hammer building a small house inside your dash....

Lets us know which one it was once you get back there.
